Wipro Boosts Regional Commitment with New HQ in Riyadh

Wipro Limited moved its Middle East regional headquarters from Al Khobar to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Monday. The new office was officially opened during a ceremony attended by Wipro’s leadership team, employees, and customers.

The shift strengthens Wipro’s footprint in Saudi Arabia, where the company already operates offices in Riyadh, Al Khobar, Jeddah, and Jubail.

“This also underscores the attractiveness of Saudi Arabia’s digital business environment. We value the company’s investment in developing national competencies, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a global technology hub,” Mohammed Robayan, deputy minister for technology, Saudi Arabia, said.

Wipro has also signed an MoU with Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University (PMU) to set up a centre of excellence in Riyadh. The centre will focus on training Saudi students in advanced technologies, giving them both academic knowledge and hands-on experience with Wipro’s resources.

“This strategic move, combined with our ongoing involvement in supporting the goals of the Kingdom, aligns with our vision of driving sustained growth and a future-ready workforce in the region,” Vinay Firake, CEO of Asia Pacific, India, Middle East & Africa at Wipro, added.

He also noted that Wipro’s regional push will be supported by the recent appointment of Mohamed Mousa as managing director for Wipro Middle East, who will be based at the new Riyadh headquarters.

Wipro’s latest expansion highlights its ongoing investment in Saudi Arabia’s digital future and in building a skilled local workforce. The company has been operating in the Middle East for over two decades, employing thousands of professionals and supporting local talent.

Earlier this year, Etihad Airways chose Wipro to lead a major technology modernisation project. The five-year contract aims to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
