These 7 Indian Voice AI Startups are Getting Loud 

India’s voice and speech AI ecosystem is undergoing a powerful evolution, driven by a new generation of startups building multilingual, culturally attuned and enterprise-grade conversational systems. From generative AI models that speak in dozens of Indian languages, voice agents redefining call centres and TTS engines fine-tuned for regional accents, these companies are quietly laying the groundwork for India’s voice-first digital infrastructure. What unites them is not just innovation, but a mission to make technology speak our language.

Here are the seven voice AI startups, each carving its own niche across speech analytics, enterprise automation, LLM-driven voice and indigenous TTS,  shaping the future of how India talks to machines.

1. Sarvam

Sarvam is an innovative platform dedicated to delivering cutting-edge generative AI solutions, featuring advanced multilingual large language models, voice-enabled agents and specialised developer tools designed for a wide range of linguistic and contextual applications. 

Founded in 2023 and based in Bengaluru, Sarvam is currently in the Series A stage, having successfully raised a total of $53.6 million to date, including a recent $41 million funding round on December 6, 2023. The company has garnered investments from prominent firms such as Lightspeed Venture Partners and Peak XV Partners, among others, positioning itself as a key player in the AI landscape.

2. GreyLabs

GreyLabs is an innovative provider of AI-powered speech analytics solutions tailored for enterprises. Founded in 2023 and based in Mumbai, the platform revolutionises the way businesses extract insights from customer interactions and operational data. 

By enabling users to upload and analyse call recordings, GreyLabs delivers real-time performance feedback and personalised insights to customer service teams, streamlining service operations and enhancing both agent performance and customer experience. With a total funding of $11.2 million, including a recent Series A round of $9.6 million in October from prominent investors like Matrix Partners India and Elevation Capital.

3. Gnani.ai 

Gnani.ai is a voice-first AI platform that enhances customer experience through virtual assistants across various channels, streamlining customer service. It employs speech recognition APIs and NLP solutions for automation and offers valuable insights from customer interactions. 

Key features include voice AI solutions, chatbot integration and sentiment analysis. Founded in 2016 in Bengaluru, Gnani.ai is at the Series A stage with total funding of $7.72 million, including a recent $4 million investment in July 2024 from investors like Commonwealth Inclusive Growth Services and Samsung Venture Investment.

4. Smallest.ai

Smallest.ai, founded in 2023 and based in Pune, offers a cutting-edge voice AI platform for enterprise contact centre automation. The platform efficiently transcribes, analyses and responds to live calls, providing real-time insights while featuring text-to-speech, voice agents and seamless telephony integrations. 

It supports various industries, including customer support and sales, and equips developers with tools to create effective voice agents. After raising $5.16 million in its Series A funding round in August, backed by investors like 3one4 Capital and Crowdcube, Smallest.ai aims to enhance voice-driven customer interactions.

5. Navana Tech

Navana Tech, founded in 2018 by brothers Raoul and Jai Nanavati in Mumbai, specialises in voice AI solutions tailored for enterprise applications. The company has successfully secured $1.48 million in funding from AngelList and Antler, boasting a current valuation of ₹48.9 crore as of June 13.

Navana Tech’s offerings include advanced voice-based technologies that enhance digital service accessibility, as well as a robust platform for building and evaluating telephony voice agents. Their services encompass real-time and batch speech models, providing clients with detailed batch-processed transcripts, insightful call summaries and performance analytics to optimise communication strategies.

6. Bolna AI

Bolna AI, founded in 2024 by Maitreya Wagh and Prateek Sachan, is a startup that provides scalable human-like voice AI solutions for B2B enterprises. Its platform offers tools for building, testing and scaling conversational voice agents, featuring pre-built templates, API integrations and bulk calling capabilities. 

Bolna received $500,000 in funding from Y Combinator and the Upekkha Vertical AI Accelerator, having been selected for Y Combinator’s fall batch of 2025.

7. Indian TTS

Indian TTS, established in 2015 by Mausamkumar Shantilal Patel and Maulik Rajnikant Patel in Ahmedabad, specialises in text-to-speech technology for Indian languages. With $205,000 in funding from the Gujarat government and a valuation of ₹7.45 crore, the company offers an API for Hindi IVR, enabling automated voice responses. 

Their software accommodates both Hindi Unicode and English input, optimising voice output for local accents, speed, and pitch. Indian TTS offers a free version alongside premium plans, such as silver at ₹6,000/month and gold at ₹48,990/month. It supports various applications, including e-learning audio files and TTS call APIs.
