Pegasystems announced a new partnership with Hyderabad-based SmartBridge Educational Services on July 24, to train students in high-demand tech skills like low-code, AI, and automation.
The training program will be rolled out in India, with plans to expand to the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions.
The partnership aims to deliver Pega’s University Academic Program (UAP), which offers students practical learning opportunities and globally recognised credentials.
The training includes 200+ hours of content, made up of 90 hours of credit courses and 120 hours of global certification courses. These programs will be available to top universities and engineering colleges and will include certifications such as Pega Certified System Architect (PCSA), senior system architect (PCSSA), and business architect (PCBA).
Students will learn through a mix of self-paced content and mentor-led sessions, including hands-on work, mock interviews, and real-world project exercises using Pega’s App Studio.
The program will be self-funded, with Pega offering discounted vouchers and free training materials to make it more accessible. It also aligns with university curricula to ensure students gain skills that are directly useful in today’s job market.
“This partnership is about moving from intent to impact at scale,” said Deepak Visweswaraiah, senior vice president and managing director, Pegasystems India.
“Together with SmartBridge, we are building a distributed model to rapidly train and certify tech talent that industry can deploy from day one.
This collaboration addresses the needs of a market where speed, scale, and skill are non-negotiable, and where there is a need to accelerate the workforce readiness and solve the digital talent crunch head-on.”
The initiative supports academic institutions by strengthening their programs and helping students become job-ready, while also helping companies hire skilled professionals with less training time needed.
Amarendar Katkam, CEO of SmartBridge, added, “This partnership will enable thousands of students to graduate with globally recognised credentials and industry-ready skills.”
