Infosys to Transform 300 Melbourne Catholic Schools with AI

Infosys has announced a major partnership with Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) on July 16, 2025 to modernise the digital systems across its network of nearly 300 schools.

The collaboration will move MACS’ core operations to the cloud using platforms like SAP S/4HANA Cloud and SAP SuccessFactors, aimed at improving efficiency, communication, and data access for staff and educators.

“With SAP, we are also enabling a cloud-based, AI-capable platform that empowers educators and administrators alike,” Raja Shah, EVP and industry head, global markets, Infosys said.

This upgrade will help streamline daily operations, reduce time spent on administrative tasks, and improve access to accurate, real-time information. It also lays the groundwork for future innovations, including the use of AI in classrooms and back-end operations.

With more than 18,000 staff and 120,000 students, MACS is one of Australia’s largest school networks.

“With this collaboration, we’re creating a future-focused platform that supports our school communities and encourages innovation,” added Vicki Russell, chief technology and transformation officer, MACS.

Peter Moore, regional head of partner ecosystem from SAP Asia Pacific, highlighted, “With Infosys and SAP, MACS can simplify how it operates—streamlining admin work, better supporting staff, and unlocking the power of data and AI.”

The digital overhaul includes secure identity access tools and improved data management, creating a personalised, role-based system for staff. Infosys will also provide end-to-end managed services to ensure the systems are well-integrated and easy to use.
