Infosys Opens Advanced AI, Cybersecurity and Space Tech Centre in Hubballi

Infosys has launched its Centre for Advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Space Technology at its Hubballi Development Centre in Karnataka. The new centre is part of the company’s global network of Living Labs, which supports innovation for clients worldwide.

The facility was inaugurated by Karnataka’s minister for large and medium industries, MB Patil, and IT minister Priyank Kharge. The centre will serve clients across industries, including manufacturing, retail, finance and healthcare, and is expected to boost economic growth in North Karnataka.

“We are thrilled to see Infosys expanding its presence in North Karnataka by surpassing 1,000 employees at its Hubballi Development Centre,” Patil said.

The centre currently has over 1,000 employees and is now a key base for Infosys in North Karnataka. The company is collaborating with local institutions like IIIT Dharwad and KLE Technological University to drive talent development and research partnerships.

“The new Living Labs is a significant step forward in our mission to deliver AI-driven digital solutions that transform industries,” Sunil Kumar Dhareshwar, executive vice president at Infosys, said.

Kharge added that the inauguration of this new Living Labs is a testament to North Karnataka’s emergence as a regional innovation hub. It will also drive economic activity, strengthen industry-academia collaboration, and position Hubballi as a vital contributor to the state’s digital future.
