Indian Education Ministry Launches 7 Free AI Courses

In a move to make AI education more inclusive and interdisciplinary, SWAYAM, the Government of India’s free online education platform, has launched seven AI courses catering to diverse fields, including science, commerce, education, and sports.

The AI/ML Using Python course introduces participants to the fundamentals of AI and machine learning, with modules on Python programming, data visualisation, and essential mathematical concepts like linear algebra and optimisation.

For sports enthusiasts, Cricket Analytics with AI brings data science to the cricket field, offering learners hands-on experience with Python and real-world match data through a case study-based approach.

Educators can explore AI for Educators, a course designed to help teachers integrate AI into their pedagogy, assessment, and student engagement. It emphasises practical classroom applications of AI tools to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Science students can opt for AI in Physics and AI in Chemistry, which demonstrate how AI can be applied to solve experimental physics problems and predict molecular properties, model reactions, and even assist in drug design.

Meanwhile, commerce and management learners can enrol in AI in Accounting, which focuses on how AI technologies are transforming financial processes and decision-making.

Each course includes interactive sessions, practical exercises, and real-world datasets. With this initiative, SWAYAM continues its mission to democratise AI education, enabling learners across various disciplines to develop future-ready skills and understand the growing influence of intelligent technologies in their respective fields.

AI in education is having its big moment. From online classrooms to IIT-certified programs, learners are racing to master the language of machines. The focus is shifting from theory to hands-on problem-solving, mentorship, and creativity.

Whether you’re decoding machine learning basics or exploring ethical AI in business, these programs bridge the gap between knowledge and real-world impact.
