Google announced its financial results on July 23 for the second quarter of 2025. The company’s revenue increased by 14% (13% in constant currency) year-over-year to $96.4 billion. The company’s services revenue increased 12% (to $82.5 billion), and Google Cloud revenues increased 32% (to $13.6 billion).
The company’s total operating income increased 14%, and its operating margin stood at 32.4%.
“To give a sense of progress, in 2015, all of Alphabet’s revenue added up to $75B [billion]. YouTube and Cloud alone ended 2024 at an annual run rate of $110B,” CEO Sundar Pichai said.
Besides just revenue details, Google explained in detail about how customers and developers are using its AI platforms. Pichai stated that the company is handling more than 980 trillion tokens each month through its products and APIs, demonstrating substantial utilisation of its AI offerings.
He also announced that AI Overviews in Google Search currently has over 2 billion monthly users, spanning 200 countries and territories and supporting 40 languages.
Now, the Gemini app boasts of 450 million monthly users, and Pichai said that daily requests are growing 50% from the first quarter. As per recent reports, Google’s competitor, OpenAI, has 500 million weekly active users.
On the company’s Veo 3, the state-of-the-art (SOTA) video generation model, users have generated over 70 million videos. The company is also launching a photo-to-video feature on Google Photos and YouTube Shorts.

Additionally, Google announced that more than 85,000 enterprises are currently using Gemini, representing a 35-fold year-over-year growth.

“Q2 was a standout quarter with robust growth across the company,” Pichai said. “We’re leading at the frontier of AI and shipping at an incredible pace.”
“Excited for everything that’s coming into view for the next decade, especially the progress towards AGI [artificial general intelligence] — and we’re going to work hard to make sure it’s beneficial for everyone,” he added.
