First Citizens India, the global capability centre (GCC) of First Citizens BancShares, has opened a new office in Bengaluru. The move signals a deepening of the bank’s investment in India, aiming to strengthen its operational footprint in the region.

First Citizens Bank is among the top 20 banks in the US, with assets exceeding $200 billion and over 17,000 employees worldwide.

The Bengaluru facility will support core functions such as technology, enterprise operations, finance, cybersecurity, risk management, and credit administration.

“Our decision to expand our footprint in the established hub of Bengaluru allows us to strategically leverage the country’s vast talent pool and directly support the long-term commitment to our enterprise vision,” said Jeff Ward, chief strategy officer, First Citizens Bank, who is currently in India for the office launch.

The expanded facility is designed to foster collaboration, support digital transformation, and strengthen operational resilience. It is also expected to play a key role in the bank’s efforts to meet evolving client needs.

Satya Prakash Ranjan, Country Head & Head of Technology at First Citizens India, said, “As we continue to modernise and scale the bank’s technology platforms, this facility and our local team give us the flexibility and environment needed to deliver enterprise-grade solutions across a variety of functions.”

The new office promotes a digitally enabled, collaborative workspace that focuses on continuous learning and professional growth. It reflects First Citizens’ long-term strategy of building resilient, client-focused operations in India.

First Citizens India, officially known as FC Global Services India LLP, operates as a key part of the bank’s global services division. The Bengaluru-based GCC continues to align with First Citizens BancShares’ 125-year legacy of financial stability and client-first service.
