Dai-ichi Life Holdings, a leader in the insurance sector, and Capgemini on Tuesday signed a multi-year agreement to set up a global capability centre (GCC) in India. The collaboration aims to accelerate Dai-ichi Life Group’s digital transformation and strengthen its in-house digital capabilities.
The new centre will leverage India’s skilled workforce to enhance Dai-ichi Life Group’s IT and digital strategies.
“By adopting a build-operate-transfer model, we are not only accelerating our digital transformation but also laying the foundation for in-house expertise in critical areas such as AI, data, and cybersecurity,” Tetsuya Kikuta, president and CEO of Dai-ichi Life Holdings, said.
Capgemini will provide a range of digital solutions, including advanced software development, AI and data solutions, and robust cybersecurity measures. The partnership initially covers Japan, the US, and Australia, with plans to expand to other countries based on market needs.
“Today, customer service remains one of the most powerful tools for encouraging loyalty and shaping brand perception, and this is increasingly enabled through technology,” Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini, commented.
Meanwhile, Capgemini has announced a three-way partnership with Mistral AI and SAP to deliver scalable generative AI solutions tailored for highly regulated industries such as finance, aerospace, and the public sector.
The initiative aims to unlock AI-driven business value while maintaining strict data security and compliance standards.
By combining Mistral AI’s multilingual models with SAP’s secure Business Technology Platform, Capgemini will offer over 50 pre-built AI use cases across sectors.
