CtrlS Datacenters, Asia’s largest rated-4 data centre company, on Monday revealed its plans to build a massive datacenter park on a 40-acre site at Chandanvelly Industrial Park near Hyderabad. The facility will support over 600 MW of IT load, catering to the growing demands of hyperscale and enterprise data needs.
The new campus will significantly increase Hyderabad’s datacenter capacity, which currently stands at 52 MW. It will include AI-ready, interconnected buildings designed to handle high-density and ultra-high-density workloads.
“We are proud to contribute to Hyderabad’s digital ecosystem through this state-of-the-art facility,” said Sridhar Pinnapureddy, chairman of CtrlS Datacenters Ltd.
“Telangana is emerging as an economic powerhouse in India, making it strategic for CtrlS Datacenters’ expansion. We are grateful to the Telangana government for their strong support,” he added.
In its first phase, the data centre park has secured 250 MW of power and plans to expand its capacity to 900 MW with a dedicated Gas-Insulated Substation (GIS). Advanced cooling systems and energy-efficient features like solar panel facades will ensure a sustainable operation with Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.12.
Hyderabad has emerged as a leading data centre hub in India, benefiting from its seismic zone-2 status, which makes it ideal for disaster recovery services. CBRE’s Datacenter Trends report recognises the city as one of the fastest-growing markets in the country.
“The Telangana government’s support and focus on the ICT sector are accelerating digital transformation in the region,” Pinnapureddy added. “Our Datacenter Park will play a vital role in driving data-driven and technology businesses in Telangana.”
CtrlS currently operates three data centres in Hyderabad and has a nationwide presence with facilities in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Noida, and Kolkata. The company also runs edge data centres in tier-2 cities like Patna and Lucknow, with plans to expand further into Bhubaneswar, Guwahati, and GIFT City.
Positioning data centres closer to users in these cities decreases latency and enhances the digital experience for services requiring fast data processing.
