Gupshup Introduces AI Agent Library for Business Applications

Gupshup

Cupertino-based conversational AI startup Gupshup, founded by Beerud Sheth in 2004, unveiled its new AI Agent Library in Bengaluru. The library features 15 pre-built and customisable AI agents designed to streamline AI-powered enterprise interactions.

These industry-specific AI agents aim to improve customer engagement, operational efficiency, and business processes, reducing the implementation time for organisations.

The AI agents are designed for B2C engagement in marketing, sales, and customer support. They utilise LLMs for automated conversations, integrate with backend systems, and operate across multiple communication channels, including WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, voice, web, and mobile.

“Conversational AI agents are reshaping how businesses interact with their customers. They are optimised for business applications, allowing quick deployment and measurable impact,” Sheth said.

Built on Gupshup Conversation Cloud, the AI agents extend beyond traditional chatbot capabilities by handling both inbound queries and outbound interactions, such as notifications, reminders, and alerts.

They also integrate with backend tools like CRMs, ticketing systems, and product catalogues for seamless data management.

Businesses can tailor these AI agents by integrating them with data platforms to maintain conversation history and brand voice. Security measures and built-in safeguards ensure reliability and prevent AI drift.

Analytics provide insights into customer interactions, helping organisations refine AI capabilities over time.

The AI Agent Library includes industry-specific solutions for retail, e-commerce, fintech, travel, real estate, and consumer goods. Unlike traditional virtual assistants that require extensive development, Gupshup’s AI agents can be deployed with simple configuration prompts.

Companies across various industries are already leveraging Gupshup’s AI agents. In Saudi Arabia, Petromin’s PETROMINit! AI agent provides automotive support via WhatsApp, whereas Brazilian fashion retailer Reserva employs AI for product discovery, and an Indian spices brand uses an AI-powered recipe agent for personalised recommendations.
