Google Rolls Out AI Plus Subscription in India at ₹399 Per Month

Google has introduced its AI Plus subscription in India, offering wider access to its latest AI models and tools through the Gemini app and across Google services.

The company aims to expand the use of its AI capabilities in the country.

“We are thrilled to see how users in India are using our AI tools in diverse ways, from the Gemini app to NotebookLM. We want even more people to benefit from these advances,” said Vikas Kansal, product lead for AI Subscriptions, in a blog post.

The plan provides expanded access to Gemini 3 Pro, Google’s newest model, along with its latest image generation and editing system, Nano Banana Pro. Users will also be able to generate videos in the Gemini app and access creative tools such as Flow. Google said Gemini will be integrated across Gmail, Docs and other Google apps.

Subscribers will receive 200 GB of storage across Photos, Drive and Gmail, and can share the plan with up to five family members. The service is priced at ₹399 per month, with new subscribers eligible to avail it for ₹199 per month for the first six months.

The rollout comes amid a wider push by global AI companies to expand in India. OpenAI recently made its ChatGPT Go plan free in India for a year, giving users access to its latest models, and image and file-analysis tools.

Google previously partnered with Jio, giving 5G users free access to Gemini Pro for 18 months, along with higher image and video generation limits and 2 TB of cloud storage.
