Orbia, a global sustainable solutions company, launched a new IT hub in Pune to support its worldwide digital transformation efforts on November 4.
The hub will play a central role in advancing Orbia’s work across data and analytics, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and automation, with the goal of improving operational efficiency and customer experience across its business line, as per the release.
“By establishing our IT hub in Pune, we are building on that foundation by embedding innovation and digital expertise into our operations. This hub will help us scale solutions faster, operate more efficiently and create technology that advances life across our businesses and communities, ” Andrea Bergamini,VP and CIO, Orbia, said.
Orbia operates in more than 50 countries and works across sectors such as water management, infrastructure, agriculture, connectivity, and energy transition. The new Pune hub is positioned as a global centre that will help the company meet its growth and sustainability goals.
Pune was chosen for its strong technology talent pool and established innovation ecosystem. “The Pune IT hub reflects Orbia’s commitment to building world-class digital capabilities from India,” said Rajya-Lakshmi Tokachichu, Head, Orbia IT Pune, data and digital technologies.
The hub was developed in partnership with global consulting firm Zinnov. “The launch shows how established companies can blend purpose and technology to drive progress.
