China’s AgiBot Launches Platform That Turns Your Phone Into a ‘Robot Director Tool’

Chinese robotics startup, AgiBot, has launched LinkCraft, a zero-code robot content creation platform that converts human motion videos into precise humanoid robot actions.

The tool enables users without programming skills to design and control robot performances by uploading simple videos.

Zhihui Peng, co-founder, president, and CTO of AgiBot, said, “No programming skills or specialised equipment are needed. Simply upload a video of human movements, and LinkCraft handles the rest, transforming real-world actions into precise robot motion effortlessly.”

AgiBot said in a X post that this platform “turns your phone into a ‘robot director tool’”, calling it “the world’s first no-entry-barrier platform for robot motion creation”.

For years, building humanoid robot actions required complex programming and specialised motion capture tools. LinkCraft claims to remove these barriers by using AI motion capture, cloud imitation learning, and intelligent retargeting algorithms.

Users can record any motion, from dance and martial arts to everyday gestures, and upload it to generate robot performances. The company said the platform will soon support detailed motor control, including finger-level movements, enabling more accurate robot actions.

LinkCraft also features voice performance capabilities. Users can upload or record audio, or use voice synthesis to create expressive robot speech. The system analyses tone and emotion to synchronise voice, facial expressions, and body movements.

For multi-robot coordination, LinkCraft’s Group Control feature enables users to design performances involving multiple robots simultaneously. The platform also offers a library of over 180 preset actions and 140 expression templates to speed up content creation.

LinkCraft currently supports the AgiBot X2 robot and will expand to other models, including the AgiBot A2. The X2 model is in mass production, with shipments already exceeding thousands in 2025.

According to AgiBot, the LinkCraft platform has already been used in entertainment, retail, research, and education, helping humanoid robots move from experimental showcases to practical applications.
