Top 10 VC Firms Funding AI Startups in India in 2025


The Indian startup ecosystem is witnessing an unprecedented surge in artificial intelligence (AI) and deep tech, making 2025 a landmark year for innovation. Venture capital firms, from large growth investors to seed-stage specialists, are actively fueling this transformation, backing a new generation of IP-led companies with global aspirations.

Here is a breakdown of the key VC funds that have invested in India’s AI startups in 2025:

Venture Catalysts

Venture Catalysts (VCats) is recognised as India’s largest integrated incubator and a very active early-stage investor, focusing on democratizing angel investing. The core leadership team consists of its co-founders Apoorva Ranjan Sharma, Anil Jain, Anuj Golecha and Gaurav Jain.

VCats provides startups with a combination of capital, mentoring and a vast network of high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), family offices and CXOs. They typically invest between $200,000 and $2 million in early-stage companies across various sectors. In 2025, they invested in 13 AI-centric startups. Some significant ones include Orbo AI, Nayan AI, vPhrase, Llumo AI and Vaani Research.

PeakXV Partners

Peak XV Partners is a prominent venture capital and growth investment firm that primarily focuses on India and the Southeast Asia region. Headquartered in Bengaluru, Peak XV is a full-stack investor that actively supports startups from the early seed stage through growth-stage funding. 

It has a significant track record with over 400 investments, including partnering with numerous unicorns and successful IPOs. The firm also runs notable community-based programs for founders like Surge for rapid scale-up and Spark for women founders. PeakXV has invested in a total of nine startups. These include Qure AI, Atomicwork, Sarvam AI, Avataar.ai and Inferless, to name a few.

Accel India

Accel India is a leading early-stage venture capital firm based in Bengaluru, renowned for being a pioneer in the Indian startup ecosystem. As the India arm of the global Accel franchise, it focuses on partnering with founders building category-defining technology companies.

Accel India is famous for being an early investor in some of the country’s biggest success stories, including Flipkart and Swiggy. It primarily invests in sectors like SaaS, consumer internet and fintech, consistently driving growth in the Indian digital economy. Among the seven startups Accel has backed this year are Spyne, SigTuple, Dubdub AI and Lincode.

100X.VC 

100X.VC is an Indian seed-stage VC fund that revolutionised early-stage investment using the founder-friendly iSAFE note. Led by veterans like Sanjay Mehta and Ninad Karpe, the fund acts as a coach and discovery platform. 

Their core mission is to rapidly fund, mentor through a masterclass and prepare startups for successful follow-on rounds with their extensive network of national and international growth investors.

This year, 100X.VC has invested in seven AI and deep tech startups, including Vodex AI, Kroop AI, HYRGPT, GoCodeo, RoadMetrics, TRIKL and any-way.ai.

Exfinity Venture Partners

Exfinity Venture Partners is a venture capital firm established in 2013, co-founded by TV Mohandas Pai and Shailesh Ghorpade alongside other tech veterans. The firm focuses on funding early-stage B2B technology ventures, including deep tech, SaaS and enterprise solutions. 

Leveraging the founders’ extensive global experience, Exfinity provides both capital and crucial operational mentorship to help Indian-based companies scale their innovative products internationally, making them a key player in the tech ecosystem. This year alone, Exfinity Venture Partners has invested in six companies. Some names include Skit.ai, Akridata and BangDB.

Blume Ventures

Blume Ventures is one of India’s foremost homegrown early-stage VC funds, founded in 2010 by Karthik Reddy and Sanjay Nath. The firm specializes in providing the first institutional capital (seed to pre-Series A) to tech-led startups, with an active focus on sectors like SaaS, fintech and consumer internet.Known for its deep founder empathy and active mentorship, Blume is a lifelong partner helping founders solve complex, uniquely Indian problems while building for a global market. Blume backed six startups in 2025, including Atomicwork, E2E Networks, Neysa, Segwise, Enumerate.ai and Inferless.

Endiya Partners

Endiya Partners is a Hyderabad-based early-stage venture capital firm (seed to pre-Series A) known for its thematic, operator-driven investment approach. They focus on startups building IP-led product companies with global relevance, primarily in enterprise digital, industrial tech and intelligent mobility and healthcare.

Led by veterans like Sateesh Andra and Dr Ramesh Byrapaneni, Endiya acts as a ‘co-founder VC’, offering deep domain expertise and hands-on operational support to help transformative companies scale. In 2025, Endiya has invested in five startups, including SigTuple, Maieutic Semiconductors and Pulsegen.

YourNest

YourNest Venture Capital is a sharply focused Indian early-stage VC fund that pioneered the concept of ‘nurture capital’. They primarily invest in entrepreneurs building IP-led deep tech and enterprise solutions with global market potential. 

Their current fund focuses on disruptive domains like AI, IoT, robotics and edge cloud. Beyond funding, YourNest’s philosophy involves offering active mentorship, hands-on operational support and a dedicated ecosystem to help audacious founders scale their products from India to international markets. YourNest has invested in five startups this year, including Uniphore, Orbo AI, QpiAI, LightSpeedAI Labs and Simpli5d Technologies.

Chiratae Ventures

Chiratae Ventures is a veteran Indian technology-focused venture capital firm with over $1.3 billion in assets under management, founded in 2006 by Sudhir Sethi and TCM Sundaram. They invest in seed to growth-stage startups across key themes like SaaS, fintech and deep tech.

Known for backing market leaders like Flipkart, Lenskart and PolicyBazaar, Chiratae is India’s largest homegrown VC fund, offering extensive support through programs like Chiratae Sonic for quick seed funding. The four startups that they’ve invested in 2025 are SigTuple, Uniphore, Frinks AI and Thelightbulb.ai.

Venture Highway

Venture Highway (VH) is a prominent early-stage venture capital firm known for being one of the first institutional backers of high-growth Indian tech startups like Meesho and Moglix. Co-founded by former WhatsApp CBO Neeraj Arora, VH focuses on providing seed and pre-seed funding along with hands-on strategic guidance. 

In a major move in 2024, the firm merged with the global fund General Catalyst, effectively becoming the core team that drives General Catalyst India’s multi-billion-dollar investment strategy in the region. This year, they have invested in four startups, including Sarvam AI, SigTuple, Ripik AI and Repello AI.
